Hardware is easy. The work is in how the home feels once every device is on the network. HomeIQ commissioning builds scenes, routines, and schedules around how the residence is actually used — not around a generic template.

Service / Programming & Commissioning
Arrival, morning, evening, entertaining, and going-out routines — built around how you actually live, not a pre-canned template.
Apple Home, Google Home, and Alexa wired in across devices so 'turn on dinner' works the way you expect without managing three apps.
Seasons change, schedules change, kids grow up. We come back to refine scenes, retune schedules, and add new devices as your needs evolve.
Your homeowner handover is a one-page scene guide and an in-person walkthrough — not a 40-page PDF you'll never open.
When you arrive home, HomeIQ disarms the alarm, opens the gate, brings the front rooms to temperature, and cues the first scene — before you put down your bags. Motion in the kitchen starts task lighting and queues a cooking playlist.
Evening routines dim lights, close shades, lower audio, and transition the house from daytime to evening without you having to remember. Morning routines wake the house room by room as the sun comes up — not all at once, blinding everyone at 6:30am.
The point of smart commissioning isn't to show off the hardware. It's to make the hardware invisible.
Most scene commissioning is a one-time exercise. HomeIQ uses a When-Then model — you (or we) can add and adjust scenes as seasons, moods, and schedules change.
Need a 'quiet night in' scene for the first time? Add it. Want morning lighting to shift earlier as the days lengthen? Adjust the schedule. The system gets better after installation, not worse.
When we hand over, you get a one-page scene guide — printed, laminated if you want it — showing what each keypad, button, and voice command does. Then we walk the home with you, room by room, and show you how it works.
If something's wrong, we don't leave. Programming gets tweaked on the spot. The home you get is the home you tested, not the home you'll figure out over the next three months.
Commissioning happens after the hardware is in and the trades are out. It's the last — and most important — phase before you live in the home.

We walk the home with you (or the homeowner) to learn how the rooms are used, who's in them when, and what routines matter most.
02
We map scenes and routines onto keypads, voice commands, schedules, and automations — and build a scene guide you can actually follow.
03
Scene logic, automations, voice integration, notifications, and schedules programmed into the system. Edge cases handled.
04
We live in the programming with you for a session — adjusting thresholds, timings, and transitions until everything feels right.
05
Cheat sheet printed, walkthrough completed, Care subscription optionally activated. The system is yours, and we're still on call.

“I've already made several calls for small programming tweaks. The team were articulate, knowledgeable, and available. They also followed up to make sure everything stayed working.”
