Service / Installation Support
Most smart-home projects break at the seams between trades. HomeIQ sits in the seam — coordinating pre-wire, second fix, rack builds, and AV cabinetry so the drawings, BOM, and schedule stay in sync on site.

Service / Installation Support
Standardised pre-wire kits per unit type — rough-in schedules, cable runs, conduit counts, and panel positions sized to your build program.
We coordinate second-fix terminations with the electrical sub — keypads, panel wiring, network termination — so rooms are ready for commissioning on schedule.
AV racks and control panels built off-site and delivered ready to install, or built on site where access demands it. Labelled, photographed, and documented.
Ventilation, cable management, and service access coordinated with the joiner during shop drawings — not discovered at installation time.
Pre-wire is where smart-home installs live or die. Get it wrong and you're chasing cables through finished walls eighteen months later.
We issue pre-wire drawings and a cable schedule per unit type — sized to your build program — before rough-in. On site, we either supervise pre-wire directly or do a detailed pre-inspection before the walls close up. Mistakes get caught before drywall, not after.
Second fix is where the keypads, touchscreens, panel trim, and network hardware actually get terminated. It's also where schedule slips bite hardest.
HomeIQ coordinates directly with the electrical sub to sequence second-fix work — which rooms first, which panels when, which keypads can be live before commissioning and which need to wait. We do a second-fix walk on every project before commissioning starts, so any field issues are resolved before programming happens.
The difference between a smart-home install that looks finished and one that looks unfinished is usually the last 5% — rack terminations, cable labelling, cabinet ventilation, service access, and documentation.
HomeIQ builds racks off-site where access allows — pre-terminated, pre-labelled, photographed, and ready to swap in. On site, we coordinate AV cabinetry with the joiner during shop drawings so ventilation, cable paths, and service access are designed in rather than worked around at installation time.
Not every project needs full-time on-site supervision. Flagship homes with bespoke AV joinery and complex landscape lighting usually do. Multi-unit developments with repeated unit types usually don't.
We run three models: full-time on-site supervision (complex flagship projects), milestone-based site visits (standard residential), and remote coordination with your existing integrator (distributed regional work). You pick the model that matches the scope — we don't upsell you into one you don't need.
Installation support plugs into the existing construction program — rough-in, second fix, rack builds, commissioning — without adding new moving parts.

Pre-wire turnaround
“The commercials were tight and the site discipline matched — pre-wire, second fix, and handover all landed on program. That's rare for a smart-home layer.”
